More People Renting In NZ

The latest news is more people are renting in New Zealand.  Should we be overly concerned or is this the opportunity we’ve been looking for to invest in more property?

Property investment has increased over the years and so too have the systems and services for the rental market.  This infrastructure provides property investors with the tools they need to manage their rental properties.  Property management companies are prolific now especially in the main centres of the country.  With more competition comes better service so that’s a good thing for the renter and the property owner alike.

Long term renters in many cases are now  a choice not a fait accompli.  Many people now prefer renting therefore the demographic of renters is widening.  It is including Gen Y, X, and Baby Boomers.  This offers up lots of opportunity to investors to cater for a specific generation if desired.

Sean Wood of PropertyTutors mentors clients and he says his clients are from three generations (Gen Y, X and Baby Boomers) and they are not all competing for the same properties.

You can learn more about Sean Wood and Steve Goodey in their eBooks found on their website and we recommend attending their upcoming May 2014 The Masters events.

The Masters is a day long event that is packed with real information on what’s happening in the property market.  Real property deals are discussed and current mentoring clients of PropertyTutors are there too.  It would be impossible to walk away from the event without more knowledge and motivation than you had before it.
